I'm so glad I found Wishcasting Wednesdays hosted by Jamie Ridler at Starshyne Productions!
"Be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. It’s easy. Answer the wish prompt above on your blog and then add a direct link to your post in the box below. Support wishes by visiting other participants, leaving a comment saying “As (insert name) wishes for her/himself, so I wish for her/him also.” It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together."
This is a lovely idea and I'd like to support the dreams of others so I'm going to join this group. Today's prompt is: What do you wish to create?
My first wish is:
I'd like to break through the wall that's been holding me back
and start leading a more creative life.
I want to create a more creative life. In that regard, I'd like to try art journaling, collage and other mixed media but am not sure where to start. I write and draw but would like to try something more. If anyone has any book, website, or class recommendations they'd like to share, please do so in the Comments. Thank you!
Others are casting their wishes at Starshyne Productions.
I started with Suzi Blu - check out this early video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1U_DB4UFmk) and if it strikes your fancy, you can check out Suzi's (very reasonably priced) classes at http://suziblu.ning.com.
ReplyDeletethat is great!! i might start this meme... good luck in your creative life!!! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great wish Pamela and I think that doing art can really change your life. Creativity rocks and I know you can do it. A friend of mine signed up for this online course:
http://willowing.ning.com/
She is going to work through her creative fears during this workshop, she is so brave! For a workshop it's not that much money but it isn't fee. It looks really accepting and a cute place to make friends:
"This is Tam's awesome art network where everyone is awesome by default"
Whatever you decide to do with your creative spirit, I know it's going to rock.
As Pamela wishes for herself, so I wish for her also! :)
ReplyDeleteMay you crash through the wall of restriction and frolic in the fields of your limitless creativity!
Apple has made quite a few videos of her making mixed media journal pages. While it's not a "how-to", it is certainly inspiring!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found Wishcasting Wednesdays too! It's wonderful to have you here. May the wall shatter before you and your creative life embrace you with joy!
Good morning Pamela! I just found your blog this morning (bloghopping) and wanted to let you know that I enjoy your writings (postings).
ReplyDeleteAs far as being more creative, I think many of us long to aspire to being creative but face what we perceive as too many challenges or blocks (probably self-induced). I recently joined a on-line group hosted by Jamie Ridler and we are studying "12 Secrets of Highly Creative Women". While I am not over-the-moon with the book, I am enjoying the group and learning from them. The web site is http://tnc-12secrets.blogspot.com/ if you'd like to check it out.
I really enjoyed your post on NIN. I find their energy amazing - and I think that may be one reason I'm still attracted to rock music. I've just turned 56 - my eldest daughter turned me on to NIN some time ago and I just love them! Guess it goes to show that in some areas age doesn't really matter!!
As Pamela wishes for her life, so I wish for her also. So mote it be.
